Process

Recognising the financial commitment required to properly identify, recruit, on-board, train and retain a new employee to allow them to make a maximum contribution, it needs to be acknowledged that experience alone is not sufficient.

Impact Executive Appointments employs proven systems and processes to manage each assignment and interact with their client and candidate bases. In addition, Impact actively uses professional and other commercial and social networking forums to ensure they are best able to meet the requirements of their clients and candidates.

Systems used include web based database assignment and candidate management coupled with the use of behavioural interviewing techniques.

Impact’s clients benefit not only from 27 years’ experience experience, but from the level of interaction Impact maintains with their clients AND candidates and the sense of ownership that Impact applies to every assignment.

In addition, Impact maintains a commercial relationship with a highly respected psychologist who has supported many assignments John has undertaken. The depth of knowledge and experience of Human Chemistry is matched by an unusually high level of client focus and responsiveness.

Regardless as to whether it is agreed to undertake an assignment on a search or advertised basis, of interest to most clients is the clear linkage between each stage of the assignment. Where many consulting and recruiting forms rely on largely standard templates, Impact places considerable emphasis of the Assignment Specification developed for all retained assignments. Once the Assignment Specification has been agreed with the client, Impact develops an interview format that reflects the Assignment Specification. Clients need to commit reasonable time to meet with Impact in order for the Assignment Specification to be developed. This is the very foundation of the assignment. It has been said by one client that after meeting with Impact for nearly two hours in order to provide the information needed to develop the Assignment Specification he (the client) had a much clearer picture of the person he was looking for.

Following interviews, the resultant candidate reports refer back to the Assignment Specification. In the candidate reports it is common for Impact to recommend further questioning in certain areas by the client. Once client interviews have been completed, the reference checks are tailored to reflect any areas of concern that have been identified from Impact’s and the client’s interviews to this stage.

With so many years of experience, it is not uncommon for Impact to challenge candidates on their choice of referees given the breadth and depth of contacts they have. When reference checking, Impact is able to link those areas from the Assignment Specification that are considered critical and areas of interest identified on Impact’s and the client’s interviews.
